R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril VII (RIP VII)

You know that feeling you get when you find something absolutely perfect, that is the feeling I got when I found out about R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril VII, or RIP VII for short. It is a reading challenge that runs from September 1-October 31.

The purpose of R.eaders I.mbibing P.eril VII is to enjoy books and movies/television that could be classified as:

Mystery.
Suspense.
Thriller.
Dark Fantasy.
Gothic.
Horror.
Supernatural.
Or anything sufficiently moody that shares a kinship with the above.

It’s perfect, it gives me an excuse to read the books I already love during my favorite season of the year (on a side note, I am so ready for fall it isn’t even funny) and share it with others. Ideal. I am signing up for this level (which means 4+ books):

Here’s what I’m proposing to read. I’ll update each with it’s corresponding link as I review it.

1. Nevermore by Kelly Creagh

2. Pet Sematary by Stephen King (in conjunction with The Stephen King Project)

3. IT by Stephen King (in conjunction with the #ITalong)

3. The Lantern by Deborah Lawrenson

4. The White Forest by Adam McOmber

5. The Little Stranger by Sarah Waters

I’ll also be watching a handful of scary things. I happen to know that next up in my netflix queue is Stephen King’s IT, so I am guaranteed one.
