Book Blogger Hop: Judging a Book by it’s cover….

New? If you liked to follow you can do so by RSS, email, Facebook, or Twitter!

The Feature & Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. This week’s question:  What is the worst cover of a book that you’ve read and loved?

There are probably others that have slipped my mind, but the one I ultimately chose was A Confederacy of Dunces. I just really can’t stand that cover, though it remains as one of my favorite fiction reads of all time.

Jeanine Frost’s Eternal Kiss of Darkness gets an honorable mention here, I liked that book (though it is outside my genre comfort zone so to speak) but loathed the cover.

The second question is hosted by Jen at Crazy for Books: What is your favorite thing about book blogging? Book blogging serves two purposes for me (plus a few more, but two make me particularly happy). The first is that it provides a place for me to curate/catalog all of the good books I’ve read and recipes I’ve tried (that is one of the reasons I don’t put negative reviews up). The second is that it provides me a place to talk about books (a feature I am lacking in my personal interactions – despite being a librarian) and on a good day, I get to interact with others who loved a book just as much or as little as I did.

What about you? Worst book cover that hid a great book? Favorite thing about blogging? I’d love to hear…
