Top Ten Tuesday: Most revealing posts

“Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We’d love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!”

So this week’s top ten is a listing of the ten posts that reveal the most about the person behind the blog. Since I haven’t been blogging long, my choices are somewhat limited. If you actually read any of these, please know that you are my blog reading hero and have my utmost respect (so thank you!). If you have any questions, just ask – I am almost an open book.

1. This Bright River by Patrick Sommerville. This post represents the type of quiet, rambling novel I love, while sharing my favorite comfort food. If you read this one, yes, I really, truly hate bacon (passionately).

2. Since I didn’t want to make the obvious post #1, I’ll list my introduction post at #2.

3. Horns by Joe Hill. I have a dark, rather dry sense of humor (I grew up in New England, it’s practically genetic).

4. I love that a zombie novel can be literary, Zone One proves it.

5. The first novel I really fell in love with. If I have a writing voice, it’s in this post.

6. I hike and travel frequently…with children.

7. This post says a lot about where my personal style, literary preferences and eating habits are at the moment.

8. If I could be a literary character for a day, I’d be Diana Bishop (I changed my mind), but a few others would suffice.

9. I prefer literate women (and men), but perhaps not everyone does…? I also cry more frequently over books than movies. Movie crying is a rare event.

10. I am a Jane Eyre fanatic, nothing will live up to the original, but this book is a good effort.
